Controversial opinion time. The 7th gen of consoles was the worst to me.
There are only a handful of games I can pick out and reasonably say I loved. Halo 3, Halo reach, Demon's Soul, Bioschock.

I was tempted to include MGS4 as a standout game for the Seventh Gen, but, as much as I hate to admit it. Wasn't the best game out there.

It had the most poignant message, and the best twist story wise, but the overall package was better in MGS3. MGS3 had the most fun boss battles, story and character. I have a real hard time finding something I absolutely hated in that game. The gamplay also offered alot of ways to advance. It's a fun sandbox thing going on.
MGSV has the best game play, but the characters, setting and story line all kind of got worse for it.
I like MGS2 though, don't get me wrong.

Nope, metal gear solid 2 is still the best. when you have boss fights like Psycho Mantis you know it's going to be a really fucking good game. I bet it took most a really long time to figure out the only way to beat him was to plug your controller into the player 2 port to win.
I hate how the switch is a ripoff of the vita but then the switch was more popular
