It is very rural here...

*looks out over many acres of rolling hills and state forest*

...and lots of lakes. But it is very snowy...snowing now even, off Lake Michigan. No big cities for hours.

I think though eventually I'd like to split my time between the wilderness here and the east coast.

It might be the Florida man in me, but I can't handle snow very well, it sounds like a nice area though.

It is quaint and rustic...sort of the Great Lakes version of Cape Cod meets Northern Exposure. And yep...the Florida Man might indeed find the annual snowfall of about 100 inches confounding. : )
