Ok so silly suggestion if you can. Take an old water bottle. Cut off the top, right where it starts getting smaller. Put a little sugarwater into the bottom, or juice, and then put the top back on but so the top is inside the bottom. It should look kinda like a drain. That’ll attract the gnats and they won’t be able to get out. You want there to be a gap between the liquid and the opening so they get stuck in there trying to get it.

That is, if where you are will let you.

To my knowledge there is no law against trapping knats here where i live. Thanks! I'm going to see if i can find a bottle :).
