Ugh, I can't believe I'm actually thinking about installing Windows 8 on my laptop again. I feel dirty...

Dial up was truly a marvel! You knew you were truly one with the internet when you heard that dial up tone!

It was crap but that's history. We all have to start somewhere.

Ikr? But I'm at an impasse here. It's either Windows 10 and no feature pack support and unsupported drivers, or Widows 8 with supported drivers and 3 more years of support. So it's either that or Linux and, well...

I used to fear Linux for gaming but it isn't too bad. However, between 8 and 10 I choose 10 because why pick the one that sucks more than 7 and will also soon lose its support as well? When I first seen 8 I never reverted an OS so fast...

My computer still has 7 on it. I am trying to figure out which one to go with after support is gone.

Windows 8 has nothing on Windows ME. WORST, OS, EVER!

I actually like Linux for a alot of reasons but it doesn't matter what distro your use, driver support usually sucks and no matter how good the GUI at some point you'll have to resort to terminal, and comand lines vary between distros, so it's wise to stick with one for a good while and learn it.

But good luck with networking and bluetooth if you have Broadcom hardware.
Good luck with getting touchpad gestures working or those extra buttons on your Logitech mouse.
Good luck with VGA drivers if you're running older hardware (although LInux MESA drivers aren't terrible all things considered)
And so on and so forth...
