I suppose, I do have a mage character that has some of my own traits thrown in, but I like for him to also represent the setting he is a part of as well. A little bit of blood from each aspect thrown in

There's a lot that makes up what a character is, after all.

Aika's nationality can be seen as a representation of my desire to just live free.
Arnak symbolizes my belief that there's still magic out there, it's just kept out of mortal hands.
Ricky represented my desire to become a badass and not give a fuck about what others say.

I'm sorry to hear that but you don't need to apologize for expressing your distaste for flirting. There's nothing wrong with making it abundantly clear that if/when you're ready to be in a relationship again, it'll be when you decide you're ready and it'll be on your terms. I think you should be commended for not wanting to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Thank you, fren! I really dislike lust and it's grip on people, making them mistake it for love. It's puppy love =(

Yeah, it's not as much lust that got me into trouble in the past but really, really opaque rose colored glasses! Important life lesson that I unfortunately learned the hard way after many, many toxic relationships: if everyone is telling you that your significant other is bad news but you think they're absolutely amazing... listen to everyone else and not your heart. Chances are, your heart is lying! :eek:
