Sort of, maybe. I usually say yes and leave it, but I've been using it since about mid-90s when it came on.

I was a tech on the MINERVA system for NATO prior to CRONOS. Being flirty, and a British friend being cheeky, he referred to me as "Minx" instead of Aileana, since there were maybe three women there at the time and I was the only American. So, my nickname became Minx and stuck, thanks to Don't Ask, Don't Tell because they liked me and it made me seem more frisky and straight.

Long story short, since nobody (especially customers) remembers names but can recall callsigns and boobs, I was "the MINERVA minx".

The Animaniacs character (Minerva Mink) was a cheeky way to make it seem like I was more desirable (instead of unavailable) to new guys. So I adopted it since I didn't have a problem with it.

Office of Special Investigations, several security forces, and at least eight chains of command didn't realize it was cover until I married my wife. So don't feel bad - it worked the other way, too.
