Oh, that explains it! Regardless that's an impressive spread of different languages you've learned. That's no small feat! I had been working on picking up a second language in my spare time, Japanese atm due to how uniquely challenging and odd it is.
Regardless, congrats on having such a broad understanding of different languages!
How long would you say it took you to pick up your first second language, and does it come easily to you?
Why thank you~! But the way it happened to me, I guess, derived from circumstances. Our education law would specify that schools should teach their students a foreign language, and we'd choose between Spanish or English. I chose English, and my parents decided to enroll me in a private language school to complement my studies. So I started it from the age of 6, completed the advanced-level course at 14, and have been applying it to my online interactions since then. As for Spanish, there's so many similarities to Portuguese that I find it easy to read and understand the meanings behind written texts, except for several words and expressions that I've only absorbed after regularly navigating through random Latin American countries' news portals out of curiosity. Spanish speaking/writing skills, however, can't say I have them.

I think it becomes easier after getting a grasp of the language learning process. Even though Japanese can be tricky with the 923873248 kanji to remember, it features a relatively easy grammar to absorb and it's very liberal in conversational terms, at least from my perspective. The experience of talking to a native, too, goes a long way, and I definitely feel more confident than months ago when I first met him. And of course, languages happen to be a particular interest of mine, so I guess it provides an extra boost to the learning pace

How's your experience with it so far?!

Oh, I only know the Hiragana alphabet so far, I would still need to learn the Katakana one and some Kanji. I've not tried reading Hirigana yet, but that is the next step before learning the Katakana alphabet. I don't imagine that part will be too hard. But, I've got a pretty long ways to go, I reckon.

Took about 28 years to find out I enjoy language stuff. You find out a lot about yourself in due time
Well, I've been trying to learn spanish for about 8 years. Never really worked out.
