Nice, flat and realitively empty. I liked that when I drove through from shitbox, Cali. Pretty wild running on the salt flats, less than 2 ft above the salt on that old highway and passing the salt dredge on the Northern side of the road. BAD place to be during a snowstorm!

Oh. I drive through the salt flats when I go to cali or Nevada. I live it salt lake though. We are right next to the mountains so it’s not very flat here. Where were you driving to from cali?

I want to say San Bernidino. I ended up running the edge of SLC. Man, that lake is <funky> in late August. I was headed back east, so I was headed for the I80. Long pull up that Devil's Backbone. Wow.

Haha yeah. The north end of the lake is nasty. It used to be a popular area back in the 1960s I guess.. now it’s all contaminated with mercury and crap from the copper mines. I wouldn’t touch it with a 20 foot pole.

I almost got to see the Rockafire Explosion this year, but I saw "The King" and "King Kat/Michael Katson" instead, which is still pretty cool. Never been a big King fan, but after seeing him in person and seeing what his animations are like, I think he's kinda cool now! He's not Rolfe De Wolfe or Lionel the Friendly Lion, but he's kinda cool!
