I have cats, so i would not get it.
*starts making a revive potion*
I also have cats. Right now they're cat fitting something terrible because I rearranged the living room. Losing their little kitty minds relocating all their favorite spots.

I do this once and awhile and it seems to help their relationship...Usually I just do a little not a full flip like I did this time. But they're playing together with the same toy. They're...finally...starting to get along.

Yeah I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old. I picked up the younger one at 3 weeks old...and the older one took until just about the younger's birthday until she even started acting a little okay.

Moving to the new house made her kinda tolerate the other but they've only recently started playing together in short bursts.

Usually the older one gets angry and bullies the younger one out of the way. The younger usually gives her a wide birth so I just get happy when they're playing together. It's been so long.

Yeah Juno (the 5 year old) was a rehabilitated feral. They told me she did fine in the shelter with other cats, but she was furious when I brought home a kitten. It took her weeks to stop hissing at me after I handled the kitten. I had to keep Andromeda in a big closet for months.

Now that Andromeda is bigger than Juno she seems to think she can get away with occasionally sneak attacking. I have seen her get the upper paw once...

Andy isn't very smart...or fast...or agile...she's just big.

Juno may be missing over half her teeth now but she is still a little firecracker. Never hurts Andy but boy does she make noise sometimes...

Yeah, that's strange that a cat would be hissing at a kitten.

Yeah everything I read and was told that getting a female kitten was going to be the best option. So when I found her I thought it was perfect.

Then I was told "maybe it's because the kitten is in tact."

......Nope. Juno still hated her.

I think what did it was they both got really sick earlier this year in rapid succession. For different reasons. Juno needed more teeth pulled and then she got another ear infection not long after. (She gets them like every three months, vet thinks she has a problem with the nerve on her jaw. We've ruled out everything else.)

Then Andy got.... a big fat ?

Which had all the vets confused. I dumped a few hundred dollars on her trying to find out what happened. She'd been acting a little odd but when I got home from work and not long after she was barely able to walk? I rushed her at 11pm to the emergency vet. She had an intense fever and they gave her some painkillers. The next day I took her to my regular vet as she had started pulling the fur off her ankles and was bleeding and they were like "OH she has an abscess on her leg."

No.

So then they were like oh no, with how she's acting if it's not an abscess, she may have fractured it. Let's xray and find out how severe.

No.

Okay then she may have an infection or contracted a disease, we're going to have to do blood work.

Nothing.

They...apologized. Gave her fluids. Gave her a wide range antibiotic. Agreed with my decision to syringe feed and water her.

Then she got better, and started chasing bugs instead of freaking out over them.

Since then Juno seems to be tolerant and even friendly at times. So. Seems like a logical trigger to me.

Andy was pretty sick when I found her. She had a serious eye infection and since she wasn’t weaned yet, had some serious tummy troubles.

Juno gets lots of ear infections and has a disease that is causing her to lose her teeth early.

Otherwise the vet says they’re in great health.

And boy do they loooove food. So if they don’t want to eat? I am usually setting up a vet visit.

Yeah, having to deal with that would suck.
