My cat keeps waking me up at 4am to start begging. She’ll scream, break things, tear chunks off the door, start attacking me or my wife, literally anything. She’s perfectly healthy and usually when she does this it’s only for a day or two.

It’s been almost two months of this this time. Getting her on a set schedule for feeding worked fine. We usually just have some trouble around daylight savings and then it goes away.

I would love to be able to sleep past 4, stop playing this game where I spend most of my early morning on the couch so she bothers me not my wife, so I can stop going back to bed until late.

If she gets fed just to shut her up, shell start it again two hours later.

I play with her before bed every night, then feed her, then go to bed. I get up and do things before feeding her at the same time. I leave out kibble all night.

I’ve tried shutting her out but I now have chunks taken out of the door and it’s a rental. She’ll just scream and bang on the door if she can’t come in. If that means she’s doing it from bedtime all the way until 7am she is. 5 hours solid she went to town on that door once and only stopped when she squeaked in because my wife had to go to the bathroom. No more than a three minute break at a time.

If the internet suggests it, I’ve tried it at some point or another. If it works once, it won’t again. I don’t know what to do. I love this cat usually. She’s a very loving sweet cat.

Except at 4am.

:eek:I have no solution to that problem, but I see, you really need one, to sleep normal again.
