Well actually only true foxes are vulpines Sky even then they're still related to canines.

Being related to canines doesn’t make them canines according to biology. As far as science is concerned if they’re not close enough to breed, they’ve split too far apart.

That’s why even though technically humans are in the great ape family, since we are too far apart to breed with any of them (almost close enough with a few) we’re considered entirely different.

Anyway I appear to have unintentionally sparked something negative here, so after this I’m going to drop it. Apologies.
