When they start up Project D and Ryosuke starts talking about actual racing theories, its so awesome. :3
Initial D is actually what made me practice drifting when I first got my 300zx. It is NOT easy. Super difficult, and nerve racking when your car starts getting close to fences and rails. >_<
Drift competitions are really fun though.

Might also be due to your car having about 300hp...

Wrong 300ZX. lol Mine is an '85 Z31 300ZX
Mine is naturally aspirated, and makes 160HP stock. Mine is around 175-ishHP
Both low and high horsepower vehicles have different strengths and weaknesses when drifting. Keiichi Tsuchiya's(known as the drift king, and actually drifts an AE86) 86 only makes around 200HP, where as Mad Mike's RX-7 is around 700hp(or higher, I don't remember anymore).
