Well, the whole "Favourite users" part has been blank for a while.

I think I just realized what my problem is with beginnings in stories.

It's too happy. I'm kind of a Misery Marquis so. An Aristocrat of Angst. The Duke of Despair.

My fave author actually starts most of her books with the tragic legend/history as a prologue and then proceeds to the main story and incorporates the legend into the main. I've always enjoyed the way they're wrapped together.

So why not try to use it to your advantage?
