I've actually tried to help the poor guy but he ended up just insulting me.

I spent a good part of yesterday mixing and applying a "white-wash" to the inside of the chicken coop that's supposed to seal up tiny cracks and pores, creating an inhospitable environment for mites and lice. The ingredients are hot water, kosher salt, and powdered lime. The lime I understand, but why kosher salt? Does it make the little parasites think that the place has already been bled dry of anything useful to them?

I think it’s how it’s “made” more or less.
