I have lots of books, done quite a bit of research, and am practicing with a group at my church.

I know a bit about racing? I was a lot more interested in cars when I was little but everyone kept pushing me off being a girl. I wanted to go into mechanics for awhile and get into the racing school at one point. My grandpa built two hot rods and all and showed me some, but these newer cars are like gibberish to me. I gave up on that pretty fast.
ugh! The books. xD I don't even have room for most of them! And for some reason have multiple copies of some?? I was teaching a friend of mine who wanted to learn, but when he learned that effort and time has to actually be put into it he gave up. >_>

I don't really mess with any of the cars that are newer than 2003, it's around there things started getting even more difficult. BUT I am supposed to be learning the basic of tuning aftermarket ECUs soon. :3
I personally prefer any of the tight technical forms of racing, but also have a soft spot for rally.

Why do so many people think thsy're faster than a animal like a bear? News flash humans are actually slow.
Dude...Humans suck.
We don't have any real defences besides our Intelligence, which most of us don't use.

I’ve always thought about how hilarious it would be if there’s an alternate universe where our fursonas complain about furries

I was always fond of the Indianapolis 500 myself. But I uh, grew up in Indiana. It made me quite the favorite when I found out my mother in law was from Indiana too and I insisted on visiting in time to see the last race...

and we chattered about it the whole thing with everyone else thinking we were crazy.

My sona would probably not actually know about us and be really damned confused when they wandered into a place bitching about furries.

Indy500 those are the Formula Cars right?
I have made respect from them, those things are beasts. Just not my style(or budget!).
Drift is what most interests me, but in America drift is really sucky, and is a Horsepower-V8 Dickswinging Contest. >_>

I'm gonna be that weirdo that defends humans, but while homo sapiens lack in the defensive department, I can't name any other mammal that can keep moving as long as they do. Having too much fur and not being able to sweat wouldn't last the better part of a couple hours in a mine as opposed to entire days at a time. Sweating OP, overheating game mechanic not working, pls nerf.

Yup. This last race they were trying a new build with them that proved to be a disaster. Sure, nobody was injured in this race but there were some of the most unusual failures.
I had gone to a few races but actually being there isn't fun for me. It's too damned loud and there's too many damned people getting up in your personal space, and half the time you can't see an entire chunk of the track unless you paid a small fortune.

And yeah...most of the racing here is just like that. The Indy 500 just has a different charm to it I was always fond of.

I'm trying to learn after effects so I can make something cool
Oi. I had a class on after effects once. I had a love hate relationship with it.

On one hand, it made it really easy to work with my hand drawn animations. On the other...it was one steep ass learning curve.

Okay. Time for this ferret to curl up and go to bed. My wife has to be up in three hours and I am wanting to get at least a few hours in before I'm up again.

So the Indy events turned into what NASCAR events are like?
I'm sorry, that sucks.

In Japan, drifting started on the mountain roads, very tight and technical and their tracks are still like that. Points were based on style and control. Most cars having around 150hp-350hp. MAYBE up to 500hp, but that's more uncommon.
Most drift cars in America are pushing more than 500hp, which swapped in V8s, and I've watched people who did a better job and didn't crash into anything lose to someone with a V8 S13 because the V8 S13 had a "Cool" factor. >_>
