I still think I just overexerted myself the past few days but I could barely talk today. Was really depressing, wanted to go back to choir...
You sing?
That's so awesome! -totally want to hear-
I used to be in choir when I was really young. I stopped going around age 11. No further practice and puberty took away my ability to sing. v-v

OH!
By the way, totally advertised your FA with the art you did for me, over on the Furry Amino. It's gotten a lot of likes. =]

I don’t have a good mic or I would. I do tend to run into an issue though where I’m naturally really high in my singing voice and that’s useful in like...two places modern day.

Choir and musical theatre. :/

getting down to a “normal” range actually really strains my voice if I try too long.

And oh! Thank you very much! I’m hoping to get your next sketch done soon.

High and Mid is where I'm use to. But I can't project, or HOLD notes anymore, sucks being out of training.

You're one weird ferret. :p

I was in choir since 6th grade...
"Was" is past tense, but "since" suggests still in.
A lot of choir teachings aren't very good, or you don't like your singing because you dislike yourself.
Either way, if you want to, you can always improve. Youtube even has lessons you can watch. =]

Yeah and a youtuber doesn't tell you whether or not you're doing it wrong...

While this is true, they typically give firm example of what it should sound like, and what you should NOT be doing.
Many people are able to use youtube videos, and other methods.
Maybe that method isn't the best for you, but it's something that's worked for many people.

I am...

Unless I’m bad at remembering how notes work, the highest I can get without trying is B5.

One note shy of high C.
Three notes shy of the high note in phantom of the opera.
Three notes shy of what’s considered the top of the soprano scale. (Though some ask for just a little higher)

I’m not professionally trained. I’ve gotten tips here and there but I’ve not once had a class. I played violin in middle school and early high school but that was it.

My wife gets so annoyed that I have so much trouble getting down to a normal range. It’s not normal to be a natural soprano, especially when you are a little thing like me.

My choir director was so fascinated with my voice last time I sang he was like if we can get you to to be able to get more volume and power in that, you’re going to break all the scales.

It felt nice. I can sing in the high ranges for hours usually. I try to sing lower mezzo or alto? You got maybe a half hour before my voice cracks out.

What's your natural speaking voice? Is it also high?
These types of things can change that.
high notes are typically not pushing with as much force, hence why they're usually quieter notes too.
