We are trying to change that by getting involved with our pirate group, and getting involved at MomoCon. But I am 42, and social anxiety has ruled my life for the better part of 18 years. Thanks 9/11.

(I was only 6 during 9/11, so I don't remember it well. But my uncle worked at the trade center, and my sister was a flight attendant at the time. It hits close for my family too.)

I was born a year after 9/11 so it wasn't a huge issue on me.

I stopped wanting to go places, public places, after 9/11. It really messed me up. I may have even suffered a bit of ptsd from it. I saw it all live on TV, while installing a satellite dish system.

I thought it was a movie when I saw it..My mom had to explain what was happening.
