I have the exact same problem. It's very hard for me to talk to people I don't know IRL and I won't find love among the ones I already know because we have almost nothing in common (and I would have already felt something if there was a chance).

From what my friends went through don't escalate things fast. It ends up in disaster.

What I've heard is that most people in those dating apps aren't looking for love, they are looking for a night of sex.
