I had a weird day at church. Usually when I'm in the choir I leave just feeling better but today I left kinda just feeling... >~<
We had this new girl in the choir who seemed to think she was all that and a can of beans because she has choir experience!!1!

Well she kept hitching badly and kept snapping at me for going too high, and I kept getting squished. Lot of fighting with my agoraphobia with not being able to easily get out of the group of people and the piano and stage fright all at once there. So I was having trouble really being able to project and basically just riding off a soprano's natural volume. But I didn't feel like I did well at all. Not like anyone minds, it's just a teeny church choir...and the director thanked me for trying so hard to keep things blended despite my naturally high range and being a good team player. She'd hitch and I'd cover, that's just what you do in a choir. And she'd get hissy.

I mean, there's a reason he usually has me doing descants. But today all the music was a lot lower than I can usually sing long term on top of it all, so I felt like I wasn't doing well there either and by the end my voice was so tired I just couldn't project even if I wasn't spooked.

So now I'm enjoying being home where it's just me, my wife, ferrets, and cats.

I mean. Dutchies are cute and all but I have a weird chip on my shoulder about the old rule of none were allowed certain names or to have a band around their nose like Telephone. Obviously they're too big to control now but you know.
