Is Christmas big in Brazil?

A lot! In December you may expect everything from christmas trees to santa costumes, from christmas food to lights decorating the houses and people reuniting with their families. This sister of mine whose birthday's the same as Svelt's lives in Southeast Brazil but always comes to the northeast during christmas, where most the family resides. People from capitals travel to the countryside or vice-versa, and so on.

But the early celebrations thing is just kind of a habit. People are already thinking of next year's carnival in December, and when February ends it's all about June's San Juan (specially in my region).
