But I'm still a loser and a failure who is a retarded idiot.
Repeatedly insisting that you are perpetuates those thoughts and ingrains it in your mind as truth. It can be debilitating and only worsen the issue.

For about 4 years I struggled with existential thoughts I couldn't solve that made everything seem void of meaning at times that cut me off from enjoying or wanting anything to do with other people. Constantly thinking about the same problem only solidified it as reality for me, and it got progressively worse to where I just felt entirely indifferent to anything I saw. I had to reinterpret the way I thought and listen to other people and seek help in order to snap out of the cycle.

All it takes is to just wing it and push back against it. Even if it seems like an unchangeable truth in the moment, just kick it back, deny it. There's not a chance something positive will come out of acknowledging those thoughts.

Unchangeable is exactly what I thought when everything seemed meaningless to me.

You can re-word your doubt as many times as you want, but it all stems from the same thought process I just described, and why I suggest you try my advice.

Uhhh
Like our friendship
Whence been together for about 6 years
6 years is quite a while, and that's something to be proud of. Friendships don't always stay the same. You get older and your interests change and sometimes differ from your friends. In your position, I think the best thing to do is try something new with them, maybe a game or a place, could be anything.
