Why doesn't water burn?
H2O two of hydrogen and one of oxygen, so that is a fuel source and a source of oxygen, it should be more explosive than petrol.

The Oxygen in water is already bonded to the Hydrogen - if you combined hydrogen and oxygen gases in the presence of a source of ignition (explosively), water would be the end product of that.
