I just perpetually argue with the automated correction and what it thinks I'm trying to spell.

I can still get quite frustrated with how dyslexia can affect my conversation as it not just how it affects how I spell written words, but also affects the words I try to speak. So everything ends up as a mashed compromise of the words I can use.

Hey everyone!

*randomly interjecting* Does anyone else find it strange this forum literally has no furry-esque smilies/emoticons?

That's usually a mark of cutting costs. Most writers, no matter how good, are going through editing, because they usually write on a deadline.

But yeah, that suggests the article quality might drop if that keeps repeating. And if so, probably the quality of articles as well.
Suppose if you have to write ten or so articles a day there's bound to be the occasional mistake. But even so, those big name companies normally have well paid proofreaders, editors to ensure the quality of their content stays at a certain level of professionalism.

because this is used for technology forums too. This isn't a thing just for furries. I've seen different websites use this same format.

Mhm... if the big publishers are starting to have those issues you know something is going wrong. But that means they are starting to cut corners on the proofreaders.

To be honest - I saw articles of renowned scientific journals that were lacking in the matter of editing, so nothing can surprise me now.

Ah I see. I've been on a lot of various forums over the years and never been to one that didn't have its own special smilies, so I was curious...
I don't know much on websites and design tbh though.

Typewriter ink is cheaper too
New Ribbon for my Silver Reed (will probably last two to three years) = £3.99 on ebay
Black cartridge for my HP (lasting about 4 months) = £36.95
