Not a problem.

I'm familiar with PC-style launchers; I was talking more about program compatibility.
Though, I guess nowadays, there are probably some pretty good workstation programs out there and Retroarch is a good game emulation suite... but I still need some modern, PC-only applications in my life.

But emui desktop is not a PC style launcher, it's a proper desktop environment built into the firmware.

And if you really wanted to run pc based programs on Android you could always do it through an emulator, but that takes a bit of work to setup.

Oh, I see. Ok.
I know about OS virtualization a little in Android. Can you use GPU heavy programs in them, though?

If you're referring to the something like 4K video editing, results may vary. Smartphones in their current form factor are never going to match the raw horse power that a laptop or desktop PC can produce. As far as Android goes it's always better to use native apps.
