This is a common occurrence at meets. It does take a little getting used to if you're the type of person that tends to demonstrate friendship more subtlety.

I wish I could go to meets...
Everyone says Cornwall is a dream place to live. And in some senses it is. But it's kinda dead in terms of social stuff. And it's nowhere near as sunny as everyone seems to think. Families live in the same villages for generations, and those villages probably hold a larger combined population than the towns! X3
Maybe I'd find an actual meet if I used mainstream social media instead of Google to find them...
Either way I'm 16 an I don't think my Mum would even let me go anyway. ;w;
