I prefer colours which compliment each other, with maybe a single highlight colour. There is no "proper" colour palette, just that which you prefer.

I have a corner shop within 200ft of my front door, a co-op less that half a mile away and an Asda which is a 5 minute drive!

My nearest village is four miles away and only has a small Co-op with a very limited range. The nearest place with a good range is either Inverurie or Westhill both are about 20 miles away.
(But the scenery is beautiful)

Near Aberdeen...never been up that end of Scottyland. I have family who live in the Borders; it's very pretty round there! (near Peebles)
