Well most of the formatting options are in the bar above the post entry....

I’m probably using an old fashioned way of editing the @ command (I just ‘edit' my post once I’ve posted it), when you do that instead of seeing the user name @TR273 (for example) you should see {USER=119956}@TR273{/USER} (Just replace the {}’s with []’s) you just edit the section between the bracket to say whatever you want.
Hopefully that’s not too garbled.
