I'm looking to build my doll & plush portfolio.
I've already got 2 fursona dolls already done, but I would like a third to really show what can be done. So, I figure the best way to do it would be to give one away for free to someone in the USA. (Outside the US shipping would be way too high) And, here seems to be the best place to do it.
So if you have/are:
In the USA so doll can ship to you
Have good enough reference sheet so that the doll can be made with good detail
Have enough space in your house for a doll (they're not really small...)
Would like a doll of your fursona
Do not mind that the doll goes into the portfolio gallery & is shown around possibly
Are willing to answer questions and things about the character/pose/etc
Can you post in here?
I want to leave this open until Friday or so of this week to gather people, then use a random number picker to choose.
Here are some examples of what it can turn out like.
First is Tetris the Cat and her Ref Sheet that was used to make the doll. She likes a bit of sporty fashion & I set a sort of 80s style. She sits on a shelf and dangles her feet over the edge. The doll's doing a peace sign because her ref sheet has that for her too. Her nose is deliberately heart shaped, she has no eye whites, and the iris part of the eye is a star without a pupil.
Dizz*Zee Zebra
A "chaos zebra" with a hypno-ring accessory. The inner rim of the ring has glow in the dark swirls to represent her magic. This doll is also in the gallery here/along with her little write-up. Dizz is a large character so the doll ended up at about 2 feet or so high in the end.
They can also have a 'fur texture' exterior, just neither of these 2 characters happened to have it / they weren't fluffy or wooly type people. Also, clearly in play are yarn, beads, simple accessories, glass eyes, fabric eyes, enamel, felt, some simple fabrics, crystals, flatback gems, complex patterns...and clearly more.
The pose can be pretty much almost anything. If it has 3 points of ground contact the doll can stand. Finger-poses are certainly possible too so gestures/etc. are all good.
