Looking to commish a super realistic animal (feline) portrait

By "realistic" I mean nigh indistinguishable from a photograph, but with a touch of [sub]nm[sub]fdbf[sub]gf[sub] I dunno[sub] what to call it? XD[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]

Random Google examples: [sub](That first URL really captures the ambience)[/sub]

Also acceptable styles:

The theme is SFW. The artist need not be from this site, and as always cost really isn't a factor (although I'd prefer to keep it under $1,000); if they have the right style then they get to charge whatever they like~

I'm sure there's a lot of talented artists that I don't know about, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :3

Commission Artist
I would love to throw my hat into the ring (id be well under your budget limit) but im not sure my style would be fitting. Id likely be able to do a watercolor ink mix or marker ink mix traditionally thatd possibly work out, but i dont have much for animal reference. Mainly human on my realism.
But i suppose Ill throw it out there just in case.
Id do something in watercolor and ink for around 200$ (give or take) depending on the size of the piece youd like, and itd take me a few weeks to finish as id be focusing just on that for that time and on the detail work and such.
And if youd like ink and marker id do it for around 150$ give or take with around the same timeframe.

This is my FA if you would like to contact me and dont want to use here to do so:

Samples of my work from pencil to watercolor and some ink/marker work:
(Very quick 15 min ink and marker wolf portrait) http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y410/ModifiedRabbit/Art/WolfCard_zps53c4c655.png

I wish you luck finding an artist. Ive seen many that can do very realistic work. =]

Hello! I'd like to give it a shot as well! I'm currently working on a commission at the moment so there would be a little bit of a wait. Here is my DA, let me know if you are interested! nightwolf20125.deviantart.com

I believe my style falls in the category you are looking for.

Have a look in my galley for more examples: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/ykoriana/
For commission options and prices: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2233199/

There is a small catch, my tablet isn't working anymore. I've ordered a new one but am still waiting for it so I could not start working on this until the new tablet arrives (start of next month at most).

Hope you find what you're looking for.

While I haven't painted a photorealistic cat in awhile, I will add to the "lil bit of..." section too. :3

I normally do photorealism like stuff in pen and ink or pencil, but I do digitally paint backgrounds.

Prices: between 80-150$

I can vouch for Ykoriana being a total painting boss. Well worth that wait on the tablet for a portrait. <3

I'll throw my hat into the ring :) I do traditional art and lean toward the photo realistic.

My price depends on size and background, starting at $1 per square inch.

Examples of realistic works:

Examples of cats (I'll admit, I do not have as many cats as examples, and these are older pieces)

My style is actually semirealistic.. but it may work for your piece. http://sannamy.deviantart.com/gallery/

My prices are not that high.. If I work for you I'll charge what I consider fair for my skills.
I can compromise myself to make my best realistic piece, to the date, for you.
It probably won't be higher than 200$ for an hiperrealistic piece. (And that will imply 20 times more quality than my normal works).

If you're interested in take my offer... you can contact me via PM here, or in my DA page (or my Fa page here: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sannamy/)
I hope my offer called your attention. I can surelly fullfill your spectations.

Whoa! This has been one of the most unique commissions I've seen on here in a while. I do a lot of digital illustration, but I am also a drawing major and fine art is a specialty of mine. Most of my realistic work isn't on FA, so I'll try to link the work from over on my DA account.

I have more experience with traditional medium, specifically charcoal, so if you want a physical piece of fine art, it will have to be black and white. I have been working more with digital media using traditional techniques and so far have had great success replicating my abilities on computer and tablet. Getting a digital copy would allow for use of color.

A charcoal drawing would range anywhere from $250-500 depending on the size you want (18"x24" up to 30"x40"). Bigger is better when it comes to realism, but it's also much more expensive to frame.

Digital would be a bit less because of the nature of the medium. $250 would buy a black and white 11"x14" printable at 300 dpi (which means you could actually print it a lot larger if you wanted). Add $100 for color.

I'm certain I can create the work you want and I'm even more than certain I can get it done for less than $1000, leaving you plenty to consider framing options :). Seriously, though, I am a very good artist when it comes to drawing and I has reached pretty close to mastery level at this point in my life.

Take a look at my work below and let me know if you'd like more information or need me to calculate an exact total for you. I can be contacted via FaF, at either my FA account --> http://www.furaffinity.net/user/hglucky13/ or my DA account (the gallery there has a LOT more charcoal examples) --> http://hglucky13.deviantart.com , and I can always be reached at hglucky13xp at Gmail dot com.

Here are some examples of my work:

30x40" charcoal on paper conceptual work/master study (sold for $300)

Incomplete work showing ability to draw fur in detail (30x30", unable to complete after the death of a loved one)

Final piece from life drawing, I think it's 22x28"

Work in progress learning to emulate my drawing style via sketchbook express on PC

First digital painting done via iPad, I could have done more, but I wasn't getting paid, so I stopped :)

I hope you find the artist that you're looking for and I wish you the best of luck!

I almost forgot about this one! It's four years old, but I've only gotten better since then. Thanks again!

Hello Felidire!

I can sculpt a 3D model of the super realistic animal that you desire! You can find more detailed information in my thread below:

A few examples of 3D portraits/busts I’ve done are (These would go for around $60+ for the first image, and $35-$50+ for the second):

But I can always step it up a notch, or several like other examples below ($60+):

Those are just a few WIPs I did in creating a 3D representation of myself. And if I utilize a standalone render program after sculpting a model, I can offer more realism with lighting to hopefully capture what you’ve envisioned for this request.

Feel free to PM me for any queries you may have, and if you’re interested in other options I can provide in the thread linked before (my FA account is in my sig as well). Thank you for your time.
