Tripp pants ? Those things are ridiculous ! They just reek of trying too hard. Better to just wear jeans and be done with it.

Most anthropomorphic characters dress how furries themselves dress, and I'm given to understand from con pictures that furries wear tripp pants, so what did you expect?

Perhaps that's true.

I, myself, like to dress properly and am always genuinely surprised when other people do not do so.

It all depends on the definition of properly I guess.

As long as my clothes are clean and have practical weather-related qualities, I'm happy. Though you'll never see me wearing jogging pants and fake italian man-purses in public, like so many people seem to be doing nowadays.

From now on when I go to foreign countries I shall wear this and excuse myself as it is 'our national costume'. ;)

The murse is a furfectly valid accessory.

I refuse to go out without one.

And a scarf, coat, and gloves. *blushing!*

I've always though that at least the furrier anthros would avoid excessive clothing due to the comfort issues of having clothes riding on top of heavy fur. For a real world example, consider the many excessively hairy southern men who refuse to wear shirts.

that seems to be the opposite of your defense.

anyway, here's a dragon
I was going to point out that the taste of the artist matters more than the attire, but then I saw this dragon.

My argument is now invalid...

I'm a fan of the pseudo well-dressed. The kind who's suit and tie would look nice if only it was ironed and done up properly. The kind that would be all business and class if they weren't telling the bartender to shut up and get them another. So, dirty film noir ftw.

Honestly, any kind of heavy focus towards fashion in fursona art is garbage and douchebaggery on it's own. It's pretentious unless it's being presented to fill a role. Top hat and monocle are kind of retarded, unless the guy is laughing and twisting his moustache, for example. (Although, "Pretentious Douchebag" is totally a style, and is perfectly valid, but I don't think most of them have that in mind.)

At least it's better than the pin-ups most Furry artists draw.

You think too much.

Here's something I sketched up last night

Had been meaning to draw something like that for a while now since my character is rather gentlemanly and a fighter.

What a fancy fellow.

But it's not the same without his distracting nipples.

You would never see my fursona without one of his trademark epillet-sporting jackets.

Maybe because I have only drawn one picture of him ever. Whatever, still counts.
