jesus christ.

I wasn't asking you to move up here, anywho. It's a fate better than death, but worse than eating your way out of a wet paper bag.

My mother in an all-powerful bitch who won't let me move out because she thinks I'm too young, Just because she didn't move out until she was 35 doesn't mean I have to.

I'm 36 and have been living on my own since I was 18.

As for what moving out was like, moving out for the first time was a fun adventure at first. That is, until I discovered that my new roommate had a nice little schedule. At 7:30am, 2:30pm and 8:30pm, he'd strip down to his boxers, lie down in his bed, throw a sleeping bag over his body and fap very loudly.

It didn't matter if I had company, if that company was male or female or even if the door was open or closed. He had that schedule and it HAD to be kept, regardless of anything else!

I wish I was joking!

The first time I lived entirely on my own (no roommates, no housemates... just me, myself & I) was 2 years after I graduated college. I didn't really care for it. It felt too isolated, so I just spent an insane amount of time at work, which was great for developing a reputation for being a workhorse!

Since then, I've been married, divorced and am living on my own again. But this time, I have an ace up my sleeve. Well, two of them to be accurate: I have 2 cats to keep me company when my son's not around to make a wonderful mess of things.

. . . W T F ?!
Please, PLEASE tell me you're joking! By the time I hit 35, I'd not only moved out on my own, but I had the chance to start a family & a meaningful career... and I think I'm pretty darned average!

I wish you were, too.

And I'm 20 and living with my parents. Till the next semester at least, I'm going to rent a flat with friends.

What the fuck?

Anyway, I'm 17 and if I could, I would move out tomorrow.
I feel like I don't have any privacy around here, I hate it.
I want to be able to do something without everyone finding out about it..

Plus, I've got a 30 minute walk to the bus stop, and then a 20 minute busride to the nearest town.
Because, apparently, in big cities, everyone kills everyone all the time.

moving out...

what is it like? how many people on FA have done this? how many losers still live at home?

it's funny for me because my two best friends are moving out and they're far younger than I am.

dammit I'm 21. D: but I'm scared. my "stable work" is making fursuits for y'all.

anyway. this is a thread about moving out.

should I move out? the situation at home has become rather unbearable.

I would get a real job in addition to making fursuits.

Also:

I'm over the age of 18 and live with my parents. 15 37.50%

Why does that not surprise me?

I am 22 and I live con mi madre.

I do my part, and so does she.
I'd move out with a friend and find an apartment in Williamsburg or Norfolk once things begin to look up.

I moved out when I was 19 to start school, been on my own ever since. Moving out is a BIG and rather scary thing, but in the end, it's a great experience to be able to support yourself, and enjoy the pros and cons of having your own life. Besides, you can't stay with your folks forever. :p

I'm living with my parents because I don't have a job and I'm not in school. I'll be going to school soon though, can't wait to actually finish something for once.

It is nice living out and about. I just tend to get lonely alot. :)
My current issue is getting a hair outa my optical mouse. >.>

As long as you are capable of supporting yourself, being responsible, and able to keep your place clean. It is pretty cake.
