Don’t get me wrong. @Simo is a great skunk and Skunk Nation is well...okay. However, since the rise of SN they have torn apart the former Mustelidia due to skunks no longer being classed as Mustelidae. Mustelids simply have nowhere else to go and are thrust under the skunk order.

I’m sorry for yet another political thread but should I gather enough support, surely the beloved Simo would reinstate Mustelidia. I stand before you all with my own freedom, wishing the same for those having yet to obtain the same. It need not happen violently, just allow us some sacred land and perhaps we can work out some options.

Please my fellow furs. Help me peacefully gain freedom for my fellow Mustelids. I beg of you. We can’t do this alone. We need your help!

After a brief meeting with the wonderful Simo, Mustelidia has been reestablished! Join us for the traditional Mustelidia great feast of celebration!

While I'm all for the company of other mustelids, I have few nationalist leanings. Really, as long as I've got a stretch of riverbank and enough fish, It matters little to me what flag flies over it.
Though I must say, the skunks' insistence that otters must wear tutus at all times can be a hassle. They get in the way when swimming and are easily snagged on rocky riverbanks, or stained on muddy ones. So if you pledge to abolish the dress code for otters, you have my vote!

Of course my friend. I’m not even saying we need to fully succeed, even just a commonwealth would be fine. But it’s things like this that makes it clear that Skunk Nation is going a bit too far, and we deserve our own place again.

As an outsider from a multicultural country, the reasons for tearing apart look shallow. I can't tell, but I assume you have been living peacefully together until then, or haven't you?

SN is okay, though I also question some of their laws. And I'm afraid of an authoritarian tendency of things for a society made of many different species, with different basic needs and ways of life, considering only skunks are eligible for government.

I voted for Mustelidia. @Simo is a great being, and I'm sure you'll come to a fair agreement. :3

Much obliged. We deserve the right for our home back, and to be able to make decisions for ourselves. I do sincerely hope we can come to a suitable compromise with Skunk Nation. I have much faith in Simo and look forward to our meeting.

In the meantime, I must gather more support. We must arm ourselves with the proper tools if this is to stay healthy and nonviolent.

T-technically ferrets are more closely related to canines than f-felines in a taxidermic sense. Perhaps we could establish a truce in order to free my people? The aid of such a powerful ally would be useful in the event discussions turn sour.

It was hard when scientists came along, and decided to no longer class us as Mustelidae, though, it does remain our taxonomic super-family. Thus, on behalf of Skunk Hollow, and all of Skunklandia, I am indeed in favor of reinstating and reuniting Mustelidia. As a mustelid Superfamily, not only can we end the problems on the Otter Strip and Ferretstine and the Badger Heights, but also, demonstrate how it is possible for such a large family to live in peace; Otter, Skunk, Weasel, Martin, Ferret; Mink; Badger and Wolverine.

I have also had a strong paw in maintaining peaceful relationships with Vulpine Valley.

Still, we may face other threats, especially from Canidae and Dragonia, but united and with the offensive capabilities that skunks bring to the table, I'm sure we'll be the stronger nation!

Bugs! Certainly. Skunks are fond of both wasps, and hornets. Shall I remove the stingers?
