Need coloring advice.

Working on a commission for someone, created the character for them from the ground up from the characteristics they described to me. I have everything done and colored but the shawl and undies, which they have no idea what they want the color to be, and neither do I. I'm incredibly indecisive and would love someone else's input. Thank you!!

I think black would fit best.

When I'm indecisive for colors, I color the object in a separate layer, then I use the Filter > Hue and saturation to see how other colors would work. I often do pretty interesting discoveries of colors I would not have guessed would look that good ^^

Thank you both so much! My original thought was black too, but I worried it would blend in too much with the dark background. I took MissNook's advice and tried some different colors, and the commissioner decided he liked gold the best.
