Hello there! My name is Joey and I am a queer self-taught artist from Canada who has only recently come out as furry. This is my first step into the community in an official sense (I was always lurking from the shadows and admiring the art and characters I found on other sites) and to be honest, I'm having a bit of trouble finding my footing.
I originally come from DeviantArt (been there 12 years and counting) but it was overdue for me to explore other communities that perhaps are a little safer and kinder. That is what has led me to finally join FA.
I do SFW art, mostly feral wolf characters, but I have started to dip my toe in D&D, anthro/furry, and other humanoid and fantasy art! I am looking for suggestions of fellow SFW artists to follow on FA. Mature themes involving horror and gore and suggestive sensuality are totally fine! I am just not currently comfortable with explicit sexual content, so I have my filters on. So, the odd grouping of explicit art in most galleries I won't even see, but I'd love to have my feed more filled out with art that I can see and enjoy!
I'd love some artist suggestions to check out (especially those belonging to POC, queer and other marginalized groups!) as well as any tips on how to grow my own community as a first-time freelance digital artist.
