The Pirates need all the help they can get. THEY probably were secretly out doing it and just blamed it on the furs.
No one needs a good luck charm to beat the Pirates. They just need a group of players at/barely above college level.Pirates lost to the Mets in extras that day. I'm guessing furries are the Mets' only good luck charm.
Haha this is awesome. I'm just glad to see furries on the news in a good light for a change.

The Brewers, the Cubs, and now the Mets. Just how many baseball teams are we going to freak out, guys?
The Pirates do need all the help they can get, though...
*sigh* Every year it's all "The Pirates are going to reach .500 this year!" and then every year it's "Oh, they traded their best player? Yeah, seems about right. Maybe next year."If only your GM doesn't trade away your best players for prospects who'll likely never reach the Major Leagues.
When did they bother the Cubs?
WikiFur said:The Pittsburgh media was generally warm in its coverage of the event. The Chicago media, however, wasn't quite as kind, as Paul Sullivan of ChicagoSports.com bemoaned the convention after the Chicago Cubs moved to a different hotel for their series in-town against the Pittsburgh Pirates because of the convention. He did not post whether the Cubs were supposed to be at the Westin Convention Center or the Omni William Penn. The Pirates took the series, 2 games to 1, no doubt with many furries in attendance.

I'd rather just have overrated players than players that actually do good then get traded away to another team where they have good or even great careers. For the Blue Jays, it's, "The Blue Jays will compete this year!" Then, "Oh, Wells and Rios can't hit for shit, but they'll come back!" Finally, it's, "Meh, maybe next year we'll get them!" Oh how I can't wait until JP Retardi is gone!
Though, I shouldn't be saying much. Last time my team made the postseason, they won the World Series (With a bang no less).
QFT.lol That made me laugh.
