Kind of forgot that making a slightly changed version of a system is often a common practice nowadays, especially with consoles and "slim" variants, often with slight hardware upgrades, which is why there is a 3DS 2.0 coming out. . Aside from the second analog and other visible features, the 2.0 gets a better CPU, so the only real reason why it's exclusive is simply hardware limitations. Personally, I won't complain too much about that unless they nix compatibility with the whole DS library with it, which to be honest, I doubt.
