OFFERING: Free character sculpts?

Hi alll! I'm needing to sculpt more Zbrush characters and such for my portfolio, and I'd like to do some stuff in my free time :) I can't guarantee I will actually get anything done from this, I'm just looking for people who wouldn't mind having their character sculpted when I have the time to pick from a list. You get my drift? I was considering charging for them, but really what I need right now is more portfolio stuff, not more money.

Okay, so rules and info:

-No NSFW images! Sorry, but these are going in my portfolio. And don't link me to NSFW images because my filter is turned on :) However, if you only have NSFW images of your character, then feel free to edit out the not-so-nice parts and link me to a safe version and I will be willing to sculpt a SFW version of the character.

-Which brings me to another point. If you post your character here, then you will be agreeing for me to use the sculpt on my portfolio website and other sites I host my art on (such as deviantART). I will however credit the designer of the character.

-Me posting this doesn't mean I will actually have the time to sculpt anything. I'm actually in the process of creating the models of the wolves for our final year film which is eating up alot of my time, but I do often like to take breaks and work on other things in between. So please, don't expect that posting in this thread will indeed result in a sculpt. I'm only one person ;)

-The characters will most likely be stuck in t-pose as I hate the transpose tool in Zbrush, and I'm not retopologsing. They will also not be coloured or rigged.

-It could be a headshot or a full body shot, depends how I'm feeling ^~^

Very awesome that you're offering these, even if you don't end up having time for them. Did you actually do work on The Last of Us too? If so then that's awesome! Very cool.

Anyways, I'll leave two characters of mine for your choosing if you don't mind. Both are mythical/made up species.

Hey, a fellow UK-fur who's also into 3D art! (Wish I could afford Zbrush :( I have to make do with Lightwave.)
You should try having some of your work rapid-prototyped. I know a good site if you're interested.

Haha wow, I feel honoured but no, I didn't work on the Last of Us ;P it's part of a larger full-body sculpt of Ellie I've been working on heh.


Thanks guys, keep the links coming! I've been getting some interesting ones! Just a heads up, I'll probably be searching for characters with interesting shapes I can play with. For now it looks like I'm wanting to do lots of headshots intead of a few full body shots ^~^

And Faustus, you should look into getting Sculptris- it's by Pixologic (the same company that created Zbrush) but it's free! :)

Thanks, I will give it a shot! I think I'll stick to Lightwave for the base mesh though. I like the way I've got the tools set up.
I don't make requests as a rule, but sometime when I'm not so busy with work I'd be happy to do a trade.

That's cool, you have a bit more control of edge flow that way too :D I usually make the whole thing in Zbrush and retopologise, unless it's a hard surface object. Those are hard to do right out of Zbrush.

Wow this is really cool, I'm not going to post links cause I know I'm not interesting enough xD. Any who, I did want to say that sculpting is very cool and unique in this fandom as a medium of art. Your work looks great and keep it up!

Well, normal-mapping technology is bitmap-based at its core. For sharp, finely-machined edges you really need to work in true vectors.
But I digress! I won't make a request, but I will look forward to seeing what you do for others!

Jigsaw for Kitesuna! Had some time today to try some new things... some worked well and some didn't, one of them being the nasty photoshop paintover haha. I'll get better at that ;)

Another! This time, someone from deviantART requested a really interesting looking dragon character :) And gosh, my net is painfully slow uploading these, after 6pm it gets slower than dial-up! Hah!

Keep the requests coming guys! The more I have to choose from, the happier I'll be! ^~^
