Unless it was something that would exclude works that contained certain keywords (like character names, or the word Sonic) or anything, it'd be pretty hard to link most sonic style works together to exclude them all. It's not like everyone's going to label them as "sonic porn". I think it might be too broad of a thing to approach any other way.
Yeah, you got a point there.
Maybe Fanart(adult) would work just as well.
Well, my honest recommendation? Whore the +watch feature. Watch artists you like, and keep your inbox full of all the good are that you love to see. Filters will be refined over time, but they can only go so far. For some things, you will have to do a bit of self policing.silverwolfe said:Oh jebus christ do I think something needs to be done about that. I hate getting on and seeing the whole page being filled with tons of sonic porn! Eww...

I am sure a flash client is available that allows for connection to an irc server. As an alternative to flash, I use PJIrc on my website, a free java client.

Actually, that's not necessarily true. Back on the old FA,Flash Chat would be jumpin' while the mIRC room would be dead. One complaint I often heard on there was that Flash Chat was unstable while the mIRC chat was always full of people sleeping. So,accessability, while often downplayed,is a factor. Why do you think so many people use Windows? Something to think about.
Well, as Starlite wrote, the chat system before had two different channels. A reasonably active Flashchat and a reasonably active IRC channel. Here's the problems with each:Merlynn said:Preyfar said:Flash chat would be just as dead right now. The reason that the chat is dead is because FA is still "dead". Actually, we have that... it just currently only works in IE. We are working on fixing that.Midnite said:Perhaps it would be good to apply a code so that when you hover your mouse over an image, you can see who it was by.
*shrugs* a small thing.. i know

That's true, but I think there may be a work around. For example, similar popups do work on sites like MMORPG.com. There may be some sort of code that string that could be modified to enable functionality, or an appropraite workaround.Suule said:The problem is the browser itself. Mozilla just HATES mouse-overs (at least 1.6). And I'm not screaming for that feature...
Yeah, where it says "find User" Instead of typing in the user neam, put in "Find (Keyword)" to find what your looking for.Lili Fox said:Please forgive my density if this was something that was already brought up. But is there a keywords search on the Beta as of yet? I haven't found one, if there is...

Check the "latest news headlines" to see what I mean.
Vlcice said:It's not just a Mozilla thing; Safari and Shiira have the same problem for FA, and are known for quite accurate rendering. The MMORPG.com version works for me, as do other similar things on other sites; so I'm assuming the code that does that is an IEism or buggy, rather than a problem with Mozilla/WebKit.
You seem to have a misconception about IRC. Perhaps you should never, ever visit EFnet, DALnet or Rizon, since that's where all the viruses and warez crap come from.Merlynn said:I don't suppose we could do something other than IRC. It seems to be full of viruses and warez. How about a Yahoo room or something?
Like any tool, you have to understand the limitations and abilities of the tool itself before you use it -- be it IRC, the internet, your computer or even life itself. Viruses and "warez" (black market goods) exist in the real world, after all, and you have to be able to understand how to identify them.Merlynn said:I don't suppose we could do something other than IRC.
