@@@ OFFICIAL SUGGESTION THREAD @@@

We're giving you a choice to open the link in this window/tab, or a new one.
Adding target="_blank" is taking that choice away from you.

Ok fair enough, I didn't think of it like that.

kris: And I don't think many artists do.

Scraps does this, to a degree. Well, not showing up on the main page is at least a start, because clogging the main page with 20 pieces of your art looks a little... odd, and maybe a bit rude. Other than that, some artists reupload old stuff periodically (I don't really understand why, unless they just want those few more views/watches) and nobody seems to care.

What if you just uploaded the old work to scraps and named it "[OLD] (title)" so that people know exactly what it is? Plus, I'd assume that quite a few of your watchers did not follow you down the internet trail and just discovered you on FA, so they probably won't worry about it.

but you still cant upload many images all at once. for me, there are HUNDREDS that were deleted from my DA gallery that i would like to have available here.
also i want my scraps to be just that, scraps. some of my older works are not really all that bad and putting them in scraps is sort of a shame. PLUS it shoves all your recent scraps to the end of the scraps gallery.
i still think an archive would be good.
or maybe the ability to arrange the order of your submissions either in gallery or scraps.
if we could upload multiple submissions at once, could re-arrange our gallery and have the option to upload without it appearing in people's inboxes that would be perfect.
i could upload all my old works at once, put them in order, create a complete, chronological gallery here on fa without clogging up people's inboxes and losing watches.

Screencaps -> auto-scrap :lol:

A lot of good ideas here, but there needs to be cooperation and enforcement.
Screencap-only "artists" persist in bitching and moaning that they're being "censored", when the majority of the people browsing are looking for actual artwork instead of redundant screencaps.

I'm all for allowing people to post a couple of shots of their own creations, but when I'm browsing one category and I've got two pages, even after the TOS update fiasco, of the same canned/retextured vixen strapped into one of three different commercially available bondage props from slightly different angles, it gets irritating.

I suggest you fix what the URL takes to get to the main page.

forum.furaffinity.net for example will take you to the main page of FurAffinity.net, and it makes logging in a pain, because for me, when I press the login button with the right password, it sends me to the password retrieval system even though I got it correctly input.

I'm sure i'ts been asked for in other threads.
But I did not see it mentioned in this thread.

I use to be able to view Fur Affinity on my PSP until they recently did something to the code after the last few site updates. And I'm sure other mobile devices such as the iPhone or black berry users may have trouble as well. So I am writing this in hopes that perhaps Fender or one of the other main owners of the site would have it in their hearts to consider setting up a mobile version of the website please. :mrgreen:

Thank you,

@robbyc

I have a itouch which in a sense is alike to a IPhone and the site works ok on it, however a mobile edition of the page would be nice because of having to scroll loads of times to reach the bottom of a page or a certain message.

@furcity

That would be a boon aswell, the PSP's auto fit to screen function's are shotty at best. But I am seeing a slow but steady trend in sites adding or improving mobile support for their sites. accessing Myspace is a good example. ^_^

I'm Currently Working On A HTML version of the front page to see how it works on a itouch.
It's running on my computer and network so it won't be accessable from the outside world.

I will keep progress on my journal on my page.

Nazis, Communists and Antifa don't belong on FA
Reposting a commission

What about an option to disable the +FAV (checkbox "This is a commission from someone else") if one buys a commission, posts it on their gallery while linking to the artist's copy? It's kinda selfish for users to fave the user's copy but not the artist's.

What do you say on this?

I'd like to see a field for a user's location available for FA profiles. There are times when I've met a fur IRL or something and am trying to find their FA page (if they have one...because I'll often forget to ask)...and they may have a bit more of a generic name or something. So if I could see WHERE they lived, I'd know if it was them or not.

And, of course, there are other valid reasons to have this info available on an FA user's front page.

Hello. This is my first post in an FA forum.

If suggestions include any additions to FA control panel, I'd like to suggest the option of deleting pic comments and blocking people from you.

I don't like talking mean or anything. It's this person named Holymoli who keeps bothering me with insults, and she posts them in comments under my pic entitled "Dragon."

I used to think that comment deleting and viewer blocking was just something necessary for YouTube, but this person is so dang rude and stubborn that I just want her to leave me alone.

I can fix it!

Blocking actually is already a feature. Look under Profile Info. As for deleting, this is still under discussion by the staff, I believe.

I had this happen too. If you update your profile info it chooses a featured submission for you since there's no option in the drop down list to not choose one. The only way around it I've found is to use firebug to give it an invalid value or delete the select box entirely then "Update"

there is this new browser plug-in for viewing images called "cooliris" (http://www.cooliris.com) its already enabled on some of the major art sites (like deviant art and flickr) and it would be awesome to be able to use it on FA too...
and if it's possible to enable it for both the main browsing and your personal message-centre that would be cool..

add deceased as an account status? (Re: @@@ OFFICIAL SUGGESTION THREAD @@@

I suggest that account status of "Deceased" (or something similar) be added.

(The status on snowfox19's FA page is "( Banned )" and I don't feel comfortable with that designation since his death was reported on ontariofurries.ca )

It would be exceptionally wonderful to have a spot to save journals to. I get tons of journals from people I'm watching, and it would be easier to skim through and save things I want to see and then nuke, rather than click through all the stuff I don't want to see. Also, times when I'm away and have hundreds of journals I want to nuke, but ten or fifteen that link to sites and references that I want to keep. Awful to have to click so many boxes, page after page. ><'
