you could also have multiple levels of members for those that do verify an account vs just have a x min old account, as the phone requirement is also pretty hard for some, and current fa and faf don't have that requirement

No, it would auto verify FA+ subscriptions, but could also be used to verify FA membership and reduce spam.

Heya, suggestion for once filtering / tags are added:

Allow a sorta 'Tagger' role for some people that aren't mods to let them go through untagged posts and give them tags.

While ordinarily it might be up for abuse, some people just are unable to tag for some reason, so I personally think that a refusal to add any form of tagging is wavering the right to do so - Just make it so they can add more tags / correct stuff if needed etc.

Eg, a 'role' that lets people just tag images, stories, etc. Probably add a filter to the system that shows untagged posts, too.

I'd say there's undoubtably volunteers who'd willingly spend some time now and again tagging images.

i remember people talking about it before and many artists hated the idea because of the kind of tags on e***

although i guess sense the worst of the tags are banned on fa anyway there is less risk of mistagging them

The difference is, the artist will STILL be able to edit their tags / change them afterwards, if it's mistagged or otherwise.

Avoids the e621 issue entirely, I'd say.

Thinking on it, you'd probably need to give the ability for taggers to immediately report a post, since there's undoubtably sketchy stuff untagged for a reason

We wanted to do this but with how many people use FA regularly and the fact it'd have to be moderated, we're not going to. We'll look into other ways of making it intuitive.

Also, I'm REALLY bad at image tagging and descriptions. Would it be possible in the future to give special permissions to another user to help with very minor things like tagging images, writing images descriptions, etc?

Currently, I would have them do after the fact and I would copy and paste it later. Naturally, one safe guard from abuse would be to make sure that I need to approve it before posting. But if I have a lot images to edit/tag it would help me greatly if a volunteer could help me on the site piecemeal and I would just need to approve it as a batch we I can.

I hope this makes sense.

I'd say a case of, trusted users etc. As in, you get staff to pick trustworthy FA members and maybe have it be sent as an optional addition to FA users.

If they don't accept nor deny the tag change after 30 days, it auto adds.

Tbh I think that’s for the best. Not a fan of community tagging on galleries. Boorus are a different matter, but even then I’ve seen some tagging behavior that I’m not wild on.

What would be nice if the database has the capability and it’s not going to impact performance/storage too much is a higher character limit for the tags field. While usually not a problem, I actually ran up against the limit with this submission. As you can see, I’ve not used any joke tags or similar, just a lot of species in the picture.

Difference with other systems is that I don't want it to occur for those that actually tag their stuff.

Instead, for artists that DON'T tag stuff, for whatever reason. Unlike e6, they're able to change said tags if it's inaccurate, etc.
