"Yeah, but I've never played chess before," said Harry. "I guess that's because I never had the chance to, or maybe I just didn't get the chance to try it."
"I don't understand," said Ron, who was playing very badly.
"Why don't you start?" said Hermione. "You can beat him with your mind."
"I can't beat you," said Ron, his hands flying up as he tried to shake a piece. "I'm not smart."
