Hm!
Wow: 1851 already!

In 1851, Herman Melville publishes Moby Dick or The Whale, arguably one of the finest modern novels, and also, oddly, one in which on one level does in fact function as a pun on the word...Dick : P And call the innuendo police: it is also about a Sperm Whale.
Ah, good old Moby Dick. I should probably read that, got some other books in line after I finish LotR. It might take a while too, I'm not even done with the first book!

Funny thing is:
I'd now love to have a Trabant xD
I don't know why. Rennpappe :D

They're weird and wonderful, is why. They're a glimpse into bygone eras, where everything about the engineering and design speaks to the philosophy of the society that created it (in this case, East Germany). The stories these cars could tell if they could talk...

I think this explains it very well!
And to fix it, you just needed a hammer ^^

That's what interests me about them, anyway. A hobby of mine is going to local junkyards and poking around at the cars that are on the lot. It's amazing how much of a story a condemned derelict can tell you just by sitting there because very rarely do people fully scrub their cars clean when they scrap them. I've seen cars that were someone's pride and joy many years prior, and cars that withstood far more abuse than they were meant for. I've also seen cars that have saved lives, and others that were the last thing their owners knew. A lot of life can happen in a car.

As for the Trabant, just because there was very little to go wrong, doesn't mean it won't with alarming frequency.

Woot woot! It's kinda crazy to think that this is the only time in our lives that we will see a year with 2 of the same numbers (2020), but it's also kinda cool :D

The first to 2020 points wins the year?

*Imagines anything built by British Layland in the 1970's would simply be crying bitter tears of pain and wasted potential.*
