This method isn't particularly popular to begin with and fades off as a novelty. But this method does get revisited decades later, when the Bell X-1 is launched by being carried up and dropped from underneath the wing of a B-29.

My birthday today but is mainly just depressing. Not doing anything; just feeling very blank and isolated.

I think too it's been depressing to live here again because it's much more conservative. I'm really not used to living in the midst of so many Trump supporters and find it deeply unsettling. Once I move closer to towm it'll be a bit better and more diverse...but I'm not used to living in a place that's so white and provincial...it also seems like there's only old people here: I really miss the city.

Anyways, go out and have fun today! Whether it's going for a walk, hiking, or whatever you might be interested in. I think you should have a "me day" and go and do whatever makes you happy to forget about everything for a little while. Pushing that reset button is usually a big help! I know it isn't exactly a happy birthday, but the day isn't over yet! I hope it's a good one for you! If you need to talk, you've got lots of people to do it with!
