- Krokus, the first band I've ever listened to, gets founded. It takes two years for them to release an album, and at the beginning they're more a space rock than a hard rock band

- Judas Priest released their debut "Rocka Rolla"

- Deep Purple releases "Burn" and "Stormbringer"

- Blue Öyster Cult releases "Secret Treaties

- UFO releases "Phenomenon"
