Hm!
I get that. It's hard sometimes talking about something you like in a random forum like this if there's no other lead-in to it. But that's why I like it here, it's like a little history dump from a diverse bunch of topics that everyone else is interested in.
Exactly. The stuff we talk about in here is exceptional and/or mostly new to me. I've never seen anyone starting conversations about history facts, nor have I seen anyone legitimately interested in aviation/maritime facts before coming to this thread, for example.
I wasn't joking when I said I'm learning more history in here than I ever would anywhere else.

1975:
'Physical Graffiti' by Led Zeppelin (my personal favorite from them)
'Alive!' by Kiss
'Dreamboat Annie' by Heart
'Horses' by Patti Smith
'Fleetwood Mac' by Fleetwood Mac
'Toys In The Attic' by Aerosmith
'Born to Run' by Bruce Springsteen
'Radio-Aktivität' by Kraftwerk
'Fly By Night' by Rush
...and moar.

Power's out. As is tradition, it happens on a night where it's below -20 C.

Yikes! That's cold!

A balmy -9c, or 15 f here, and windy. This is where Lake Michigan has a warming effect, because it has not froze over this year, so far.

So many good things are coming out by 1975, it's hard to even list them!

Brian Eno releases Another Green World; Golden Hours is a very fine cut from that LP:

Oh geez! Bundle up! Scales probably aren't very warm :(

Don't worry, I have ways around this.

Also, the power's back.

We're due for -29 C later this week, and Edmonton is going below that (-32-35 range). It sucks being in endless flatness with nothing to stop the wind.

I recently discovered (well, Zugai did) that my footpaws are no longer ticklish! They used to be.

From 1975...

That's OK! Once I apply some of my famous Ticklex™ Cream or Lotion, they'll be as ticklish as ever! :p

Are your products tested on humans before going on sale?

You better keep that away from any mischievous foxes. They'll end up dumping it on someone's food! Imagine your whole insides being ticklish... you could never eat again! Unless it's only temporary!

We test 'em on various species, and at major fur-cons, so that they're furry safe, fun, and frisky!!!

The following fine products have been developed in the S. S. Skunk Labs:

-Ticklex™ Cream, Lotion, and new Aerosol Spray
-Rump Relaxer™ Lotion and Cream. Makes any rump feel better!
-Mischievol™ (liquid and tablet)
-Muskazolam™ (liquid)

I have no idea. But what I do know is that this year in aviation history, the BAC/Sud Aviation Concorde enters service this year. It's plagued by delays and budget overruns, but ultimately becomes the world's first (and last) supersonic commercial airliner. With a customer list whittled down from 16 to 2, the Concorde would hold a very niche market and launched out the gate with an incredibly uncertain future. Nevertheless, it would survive multiple stock market crashes, the 1973 oil crisis, numerous noise complaints, and the crash of F-BTSC (flying as Air France 4590) all the way to retirement in 2003. Air France and British Airways would operate the aircraft (with one being leased to Singapore Airlines for a while), boasting the unique advantage of a 3.5 hour transatlantic crossing.

All surviving concordes are now on display at various museums and airports around the world, and a startup (go figure) has expressed interest in returning F-BTSD (on display at Le Bourget Airport in Paris) to commercial service.
