I'll help. This year in aviation history, Falcon 9 delivers a payload of 11 satellites to low earth orbit. The rocket then returns to Cape Canaveral and performs a soft landing by firing the rockets in retrograde, becoming the first rocket to perform such a maneuver.

Also drawing a blank on 2015, with the exception of Obergefell v. Hodges. Gay marriage becomes legal in the US, thanks largely to Obama's appointees to the SCOTUS; Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.

For me personally, it is the most impactful Supreme Court ruling in my lifetime, and a reminder of why I view politics as mattering in our everyday lives.

There is a lot of excitement over the decision among me and my friends; though, it is a tempered optimism, as such rights can always be slowly or even suddenly eroded.

This year in aviation history, astronauts Scott Kelly and Mikhail Korniyenko return from a year in space. Kelly details his mission, plus his life in general leading to his NASA career in his book Endurance: A Year in Space.

Ah, this is around the time I started trying to use FAF, because the forum I used to be on, Furry to Furry, went kaput. It was an amazing place...was an 18+ forum, with a SFW and NSFW section; all the basic topics here, plus a much bigger RP and looking for RP section: there used to be tons of pretty complex RPs just posted to the forums, open by invitation, or just open to all, and it tended to be a fun place...met a lotta furs there.

Coming here was hard...the forum used to be a lot more rough around the edges...it's calmed down a lot...a kinder, gentler forum than it was.

Before late 2014 I had a different account here, based on my first fursona...a Malamute named Sweet Pea. But that was just to stick my toes in the water; I didn't really post much then...too scary!!!!!

I've enjoyed both, though even in the case of NSFW it tends to take time for things to develop, even in the case of certain BAD foxes...but all in all, when a RP is engaging, it's very much a liberating, immersive experience; there's this feeling of closeness and kinship that's engendered that's unlike almost anything else. I think as a writer this is especially true; meshing with another furson in a fictional world far exceeded any expectations I held. I also think it's why I tend to get bored with video games: they seem too scripted, limited, and prescribed: like I am stuck in a maze. Maybe in time, they'll evolve into something more broad??? Anyway, digressing here.

...once I get settled back in, I'll have to take up more RPing, again.

That forum sounds like a lovely place, it's unfortunate it no longer exists. By the time I was discovering the fandom, I was trying to use the main site FA and browsed furry art. I didn't know any English by the time, but that didn't stop me, as I had a great interest in the furry fandom. I was slowly learning English thanks to all the furry smut I used to read. It was a great time for me.

I remember you have talked about your malamute fursona in the past, I wonder what made you change.

Ah...an excellent way to learn English! I'll have to explain switching Fursonas more sometime, but I'm more content as a skunk and part time Fossa : ) Though Malamutes are of course adorable.

Yeah. And regarding all that RP, can I send you a DM later asking for some tips. You see, I've been recently roleplaying with someone, and we just finished a RP, my first one. But I didn't feel like I was good enough. And I want to improve. You seem like a very experienced person in roleplaying, so I thought I could reach out to you for help.

This year in aviation history, the Falcon 9 that completed the first successful retrograde fire propulsive landing in 2015 (I'll look up the actual maneuver name shortly) re-fires its engines. It doesn't go anywhere, but it solidifies the case that these rockets can be reused. Being able to reuse the rockets would drastically cut launch costs, enabling increased cargo output - and maybe even passengers.

Also this year in aviation history, passengers of Somali based Daallo Airlines witnesses what is possibly the most hilariously inept terrorist attack in history. A suicide bomber on flight 159 detonates a briefcase bomb he had smuggled on board with inside help from airport employees in Mogadishu. Not only did the bomber set himself on fire, he blew a hole in the fuselage that sucked him out of the plane. The A321 returns to Aden Adde (formerly Mogadishu) International Airport with everyone else on board and only two minor injuries.

Regarding the second paragraph, any death is bad death, but I guess it proves that karma is a female dog after all!

I'll keep them going as much as I can. Maybe if the pages align with flight numbers or something, or if I decide 'screw it' and decide to post at least one random fact on every page.

And yes, that was incredibly karmic. Given what it was, I'd say it's the best possible outcome.
