Good morning @Spilogale Pygmaea!

Ah damn, that sucks. Hopefully it's nice and cosy inside
Oh, it's lovely inside! There's something that makes me feel so warm and cuddly when I look outside and it's raining, hailing, sleeting, or snowing and I'm all nice and toasty in my house. It's a great feeling, but I just wish it wasn't snowing so hard XD
I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it gets better.
Me too. Hey, you wouldn't mind if I sent some snow down to you, would you? I might need help carrying it down to you, but this is good packing snow. We oughta make a snowman or an igloo or something :D

Anyways, how are you, my slimy friend?

I'm good! I just woke up and the morning is very cold. I would love that.

*sends a map with a big X*
Throw it all here o_O
Let's see... compensate for wind direction... carry the 2...
Ok! This should work!
*launches the trebuchet and all of the snow hits a ship and almost capsizes it*
...
Oops! I didn't do it!
*runs away, arms flailing, and hides in my burrow*

We've had a little snow here.

Good! You can send some to @Sarachaga! You're closer, and you probably have better aim, too! You pull off some pretty impressive shots with that hose :D

Greetings all!

@BreyoGP : Huh, sounds snowier and colder there, than up here! A warm January, so far. I think today is gonna be about 40f...some light dustings of snow here and there, but it's been way above average. This is the time it tends to be the coldest, as is in the subzero to single digit range, but it's almost tropical : P Well, there's still a good deal of snowcover, but by northern Michigan standards, this is a strangely mild winter.

~

Gotta fill the birdfeeders here: Have been seeing a pair of pileated woodpeckers, which is fun. What big, bright, long-beaked birbs!

Well, the snow out here didn't lay, surprisingly. I guess because it's 36 degrees farenheit, but the snowflakes were HUGE. There are still some assorted flurries coming down, but no more blizzard. At least I don't have to shovel the driveway :p

Also, those birds are so beautiful! The only birds we get at our bird feeder in the winter are the plump, tiny, brown ones (I think they're called winter wrens, but I could be wrong). Woodpeckers never stray far from the patches of forest that I live near, but I guess that's because the grasslands and fields don't have much to offer them XD

You bet, @Spilogale Pygmaea! See ya around!

True...woodpeckers are aptly named for liking to live near...wood : P

Lots of very tall maples here; that's where I see them, as well as on the suet feeder. Seems to be a pair: I have identified a male, and a female. Maybe this spring, there will be more! I love the noise they make, pecking wood. I was reading they are mainly looking for carpenter ants, in the dead parts of older trees.
