Yeah, but:

See? Liberia and Myanmar know what they're doing :D

I gotta admit though, I hate converting Farenheit into Celsius for science reasons. Sometimes I wish we'd just conform lol

Yeah, there's too many steps!

For everyday purposes, though, such as weather, I'm just too used to Farenheit to change...Celsius just doesn't have as much 'range', or something : P

If we're talking about range, Farenheit is less usable than Celsius or Kelvin.

Oh, I just mean as in the weather outside...it's much nicer for me to put it in terms of being 40 or 60 or 80, as opposed to someplace between 4.4 or 26.6! For weather, Celsius just seems to bunch the numbers up funny.

I think much of this is simply what we're familiar with, but there's also more to it, now that I ponder it.

In the 1970's there was a huge push in the US to convert to metric, which was stopped in the Reagan Era, at the behest of US industry, and not wanting to be like 'those 'Europeans'; it had shades of, "Well, in the US, we do it like this! So there! Ya don't like it, move to Russia!" (I tend to think in the current US socio-political climate of Trumpism, a push for metric would meet a similar fate)

All in all, I'd welcome it, though....even if the weather continued to confuse me! : )

I dunno. I guess if you're used to it, you're used to it. But -20 to 20 makes a lot more sense to me.

It's also the scientific standard, so there's that.

True...then again, the US is not that great, when it comes to following science! :p

I propose de-decimalizing the pound.

Oh, I LOVE that idea! I'm all about the earlier systems of British money.

Farthings, half pence, shillings, crowns, florins...

2 farthings = 1 halfpenny
2 halfpence = 1 penny (1d)
3 pence = 1 thruppence (3d)
6 pence = 1 sixpence (a 'tanner') (6d)
12 pence = 1 shilling (a bob) (1s)
2 shillings = 1 florin ( a 'two bob bit') (2s)
2 shillings and 6 pence = 1 half crown (2s 6d)
5 shillings = 1 Crown (5s)
