Predators and Prey

I know what you mean. I lurk in a few Telegram groups and I swear, it's a struggle to understand what's going on. It's like 70% inside jokes and references to things I'm not interested in or knowledgeable of. It's kind of intimidating to jump in the middle of that. Luckily that group also does fur meets that are a lot easier to navigate in person. especially if it's based around some team game, like the fur bowling meet that happens every month. Those at least give you an 'in' to start a conversation.

Ah, that's a very accurate description of it! I'm also hoping to find a face to face meet, such as bowling, maybe a meet in a park when it's nice out, or a restaurant...I'm actually pretty extroverted, and good at face to face things: which in a strange way, seems to actually make it harder to talk to furries...at least online :p

Maybe there's also some interest in some sort of meet up here...Traverse City isn't that huge, but the county has a population of about 95,000, making it the last (and woodsy, kinda artsy) outpost of civilization, this far north in the state. I'm kinda hoping to maybe do some outdoor meets: meet at a beach-side picnic area on Lake Michigan; maybe have a canoeing meet on a smaller lake/river, go fishing, perhaps...hiking. I figure if furries base their fursonas on animals, then seeing some wildlife and such is a fun idea.

Part of me also simply wants to get furries to leave their basements and vidya games...and go...outside  :p
