Hello mousey!
Enjoying a bit of a thaw before more snow comes, here!
And chasing away even more pesky squirrels from the bird feeders. The bluejays are putting up a decent fight; maybe the woodpeckers will step up the game, and help out : )
*calls @Cosmic-FS and The Owl Squad to help with these squirrels* : )

They should be called Guinea Fluffballs!@BreyoGP : I was thinking random thoughts as I was laying in bed: As a Guinea 'Pig', do you ever get bothered by the connotations of the 'pig' part? And of course not to drag any actual pigs though the mud...ooops, I mean, well, you know, there's a lot of bias against pigs being hefty, muddy, and hogging food, and such...and have ya ever thought of maybe a new term, like Guinea Tapir, or such?Just wondering! Still, I think you have a great fursona, and I will also point out that pigs are highly intelligent, probably more so than dogs : )

What do you want me to do about it?
They should be called Guinea Fluffballs!
In Spanish they are called 'Conejillo de Indias', 'Cobaya' or 'Cuyo'. As you can see, there's not a single mention of 'pig'. The first name means 'Little bunny of the Indias', and of them is even an onomatopoeia of the sound they make.
Well, the reason behind the name "guinea pig" kinda got lost a long time ago, for some reason. When I got my first guinea pig friend, I was really curious as to why they were called that. The guinea part isn't because they originated from New Guinea, but because they costed about one (or a couple) guineas from where they originated in South America a long time ago. The pig part is because they kinda sound like pigs (which I can attest to, living in the countryside and all. Those big guys don't stop squealing XD). Guinea pigs love to make noise, particularly wheeking when they are happy (or very scared@BreyoGP : I was thinking random thoughts as I was laying in bed: As a Guinea 'Pig', do you ever get bothered by the connotations of the 'pig' part? Well...have to (fully) wake up, and bring some wood in for next week. Looks like about 8 to 12 inches of snow, Tues/Weds...warm today; 42f...and those pesky squirrels are raiding my birb feeders with abandon!!!

TL;DR, they share some similarities with actual pigs (noisy when they wanna be, for example). Also, while they don't eat like pigs, they enjoy having a constant supply of food to pick at over a long period of time. They're definitely snackers, not like pigs who eat constantly.
I don't mind the name because it's accurate in some ways, but there probably is a more suitable name for them. Guinea noodle is good lol
Good luck with the squirrel bandits, fart-squirrel
Also, nice drawing @CapReMount! Reminds me of the Cheshire cat from Alice in wonderland!
